FOUNDING STORY
Bob Dalton was inspired to help the homeless community when his mother found herself living on the streets in 2013. Inspired by her story, he started to call homeless shelters in his area to ask what they needed - they all said blankets. That’s when he founded Sackcloth & Ashes, a mission-driven company that donates a blanket to a homeless shelter for each one purchased and children's blankets are donated to foster care. Their goal is to donate 1 million blankets to homeless shelters by 2024.
Each blanket is made from recycled materials and produced in a water-free, dye-free, chemical-free process, all with comfort & durability in mind. Each blanket comes in a box that not only shares about the second blanket donated but allows the recipient to fill the box up with items and donate to their local homeless shelter.
Why we love Sackcloth & Ashes It's fairly apparent based on the story. Beautiful & cozy blankets that bring joy to any home, made with sustainable & health-forward processes, & give back to those in desperate need. You can't afford not to cuddle up with one of these on your couch.
